Welcome to the Epsom College Learning Channel
This system allow pupils and staff to view the available ClickView Library video resources in a compressed format, even over wireless and to many users simultaneously.
The system has been extended to offer a similar service for Flash Videos (.flv files). Look for menu functions starting with FLV-. They work in the same way as the ClickView functions, but stored flash videos are delivered. We can add new Flash videos to our store. For example, it is possible to download Youtube.com videos. Videos stored on local servers are available permanently, delivered faster and do not consume our Internet bandwidth. We accept requests, initially from teachers only, for suitable YouTube videos to add to our library.
Teachers should note that where videos are to be shown to a whole class, the ClickView Player software should be used to display ClickView videos in a larger format with a higher resolution. This does not apply to the Flash Video library.Log in with your GroupWise credentials to search available videos by title or category, browse the available videos by category and view the selected video. Use menu items beginning with ClickView- for the ClickView libraries and those beginning with FLV- for the Flash Library. The categories for ClickView videos may appear disorganised. This is because there are several separate libraries included and these have been combined.
Note that some video resources may take a while to load if network and wireless traffic is heavy or if the individual chapters of the video are large. Be patient.
This system requires Microsoft Silverlight to be installed on your computer. However, many newer machines will have this installed by default. Log in and try first before downloading Silverlight.
